OTP itself will be deleted after 24 hours... - Message App

Recently, Google has added another new feature in its 'Message app', which allows the automatic distribution of messages into different categories. This makes it very easy for the user to search the message. Here you will find categories of All, Personal, Transaction, and OTP.

In this, when you go to the section with OTP, then you will get another new feature. The feature of this feature is that OTP on mobile will be deleted after 24 hours. Let's know how this feature can be enabled in the Google Message app:

OTP will be auto delete:

First of all, make sure that you have the latest version of the message application. If you are not sure, go to the Google Play Store and update it. If it is not in the form of a default app on your phone, you can download it from the Google Play Store and make it a default message app.

  •  Now open the messaging app. Here you will find different categories of messages in the bar.
  •  In it, you tap on the OTP category. There will be a pop-up open, in which you will see the option of 'Auto-delete OTP after 24 hours'. Then tap on the Continue menu.
  • In the next pop-up, you will be asked for confirmation. Then tap on Auto-delete OTP again. Now the OTPs that arrive on your mobile will be automatically deleted after 24 hours.

If you want to undo it or change it, you have to tap on the three-dot menu above and go to Settings. Now you will see the option of message organization here. In this, turn off the toggle with 'Auto delete OTP after 24 hours'. If you feel that the OTP received in the message can be misused, then this method may be a better option.
